Held over a weekend in early February, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race offers cycling fans the chance to witness top-tier teams and elite riders in action. Drawing more than 140,000 attendees, the event features the UCI WorldTour-sanctioned Elite Men’s Road Race and the UCI  WorldTour Elite Women’s Road Race on the 1st and 2nd of February.

The festival kicks off on Wednesday the 29th of January with the Women’s Surf Coast Classic point-to-point race, followed by the Men’s Surf Coast Classic on the 30th. Throughout the weekend, everyone is welcome to join in the cycling fun, with GeelongPort Family Ride and the TAC People’s Ride taking place on the very same roads as the Pro’s.

Whether you’re an avid cycling enthusiast or not, it’s a great excuse for a fun-filled summer getaway by the coast. Soak up all of the racing action and discover iconic sights, delicious eats, and family-friendly activities, from Geelong and the Bellarine to the Great Ocean Road.
